At the MSDAA Senior Athletics Championship 2025, held recently, Somaiya athletes delivered outstanding performances. Here’s a highlight of those who stood on the podium:

Meet Dedhia — Silver in 200 m (22.38 s) and 400 m (50.8 s)

Neel Kasar — Gold in Decathlon (4538 points)

Poorva Sawant — Gold in Triple Jump (selected by merit)

Vishal Rathod — Silver in Long Jump (6.76 m)

Roma Tandel — Gold in Long Jump (5.07 m)

Soham Koli — Bronze in Long Jump (5.60 m)

Eekisha Bhadsavale — Silver in 400 m (1:03 s) and Gold in 800 m (2:32 s)

Kaushalya Parmar — Silver in 1500 m (6:08 s)

Vinit Kumawat — Gold in 3000 m Steeplechase (10:46 s)

Prashanna Malhar — Gold in Javelin Throw (33 m)

Tannishta Dineshkumar — Double Gold in Javelin Throw (33 m) and Shot Put (1.47 m)

Vaishali Thakre — Gold in 20,000 m Walk (1:50:26)

Pravin Gupta — Gold in Shot Put (15.41 m)

Neha Varma — Gold in Discus Throw (44.19 m)

Swanandi Sawant — Gold in 400 m Hurdles (1:09 s)

These 15 athletes have now qualified for the state-level championship, representing Somaiya’s excellent sporting calibre.
