In a display of intellectual brilliance and a new take on creating solutions, country's first-ever textbook on Design Thinking by Dr Anuja Agarwal (Adjunct Faculty, K J Somaiya Institute of Management) was launched at K J Somaiya Institute of Management, The book titled 'Design Thinking - A Framework for Applying Design Thinking in Problem Solving', is published by Cengage India, has been reviewed by Industry Stalwarts like K V Kamath, former Chairman & MD, ICICI Bank and presently the Chairman. National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID), Renu Karnad, Ex-MD, HDFC Ltd, Kunal Sinha, Group Chief Strategy Officer, M&C Saatchi Indonesia, among others.

As a part of the book launch, a panel discussion comprising Dr. Ranjan Banerjee (Dean and Professor - Marketing, BITSoM - BITS School of Management) as the moderator, and Shrikant Bapat (Former Country GM and MD, India, Johnson Controls, and alumnus of K J Somaiya Institute of Management) and the author herself, Dr Anuja Agarwal, as panellists. The panel shared their insights into the rising significance of design thinking in the Indian professional landscape. Supported by more than a decade of research, it acknowledges the demand and underscores its methodology for effective problem-solving.

The Panel also touched upon AI and its integration with Design Thinking. Dr Agarwal discussed the two-sided nature of AI, acknowledging its potential while recognising its limitations. She emphasized the importance of careful consideration and understanding when AI should be integrated into the design thinking process to enhance and strengthen its core values. The engaging discussion reflected the adaptability of Design Thinking while emphasizing the lasting value of empathy, creative problem-solving, and a resilient mindset in crafting innovative and sustainable solutions for the complex challenges of today's professional world.

Prof. Rajasekharan Pillai V N (Vice-Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University) and Dr Ramachandran Raman (Director, K J Somaiya Institute of Management) also reinforced the significance of Design Thinking in the educational and professional front.
